Achitectural Service Provided
- Taking clients brief and discussion
of possible development

- Making measured survey of site, (with
levels if necessary) and of any existing buildings

- Preparation of scheme design, to illustrate
proposed new works for client's approval

- Preparation of planning application
and submission to local authority

- Dealing with the requirements of the
Party Wall Act 1996

- Advising on the engagement of a Planning
Supervisor (not required for domestic work)

- Preparation of detailed drawings and
specification of the works for submission to Building Control
for building regulations permission

- Inviting tenders for the workReporting
on tenders received and arranging for the contract to be let

- Making periodic site inspections of
the work to monitor workmanship and progress and the issue of
monthly Architect's Certificates, to advise on monies payable
to the contractor

- Making a handover inspection at Practical
Completion

- Making a final inspection at the end
of the Defects Liability Period, (this is usually either 3,
6 or 12 months after completion, as applicable to the size and
type of project), followed by the issue of the Final Certificate

- In addition to the above services,
we can arrange for the additional services of a quantity surveyor,
structural engineer, mechanical/electrical engineer or any other
professional discipline which might be required: these various
services can be provided separately, or included within a package
for one fee, which can be useful to busy clients who would prefer
to deal with just one person.
